Memory game!

Here is a fun little game... leave a comment on my blog of a memory that you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you've known me for a short time or a long time, anything that you remember! Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It is pretty funny to read the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you are playing and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. On your mark... get set... blog those memories
(p.s. if you don't have a blog I will leave a comment for you in my comments section.)

Here is an email that I recieved, I really liked it and thought it might be worth sharing! Thanks to all of you out there who have made a difference in MY life!

The following is the philosophy of Charles Schulz, the creator of the 'Peanuts' comic strip.
You don't have to actually answer the questions.
Just read the questions straight through, and you'll get the point.
1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.
3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America pageant.
4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.
5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.
6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.
How did you do?
The point is , none of us remember the headliners of yesterday.
These are no second-rate achievers.
They are the best in their fields.
But the applause dies..
Awards tarnish.
Achievements are forgotten.
Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.
Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:
1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.
2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.
3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.
4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special!!
5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.
Easier?
The lesson:
The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials..
the most money...or the most awards.
They simply are the ones who care the most.

Crazy! Enough said!

Carter is being potty trained FINALLY!!! Hurray!!! Anyway the other day he just went potty and I told him to go and put his underwear back on and this is how he returned. I laughed pretty hard so Camden wanted to be just as funny and came out hoping for just as big of a reaction! Do I have BOYS or what!

Tub Time!

I think she likes the tub....don't you!

However she isn't the only one!

Watch out Tiger!

Camden just finished up Golf Camp and LOVED it! He was really excited about going and I think he had a great time. On the last day we all went up to watch him. It was cute watching all these little five year-olds hit the ball.....or should I say try to hit the ball!
My brother bought this set of golf clubs for his little girl when she was younger. It didn't fit her and instead of taking it back he just went and bought her a new one. Well Camden inherited a brand new bag and set of clubs and he thinks it is the coolest thing on the planet! It really is quite cute to watch him carry them around!

Carter watching and getting excited for the day he can go to golf camp too!

Great form!

Darin watching with such daddy eyes. I believe his exact words were something like this; "He has a lot of potential, I just need to work on his swing and his follow through" My words "Good job Camden....did you have a good time?!" He is always trying to get our kids to be better, I just have to occasionally remind him that they are only 5 and 3! I love you Darin!!!! It really is quite cute!

More Family fun!

Some of my closest cousins came to visit. I use to spend a week with these girls every summer growing up. They lived in California and invited me to visit. We had sooo much fun together. Now I hardly get to see them so it is so much fun when they come to town. I only got to spend an afternoon with them (not enough time girls!!!) but it was so good to see them! My boys think they are great! Especially you "Jackson" (I am not sure why that is easier to say than Jaclyn) The following week, my uncle Jerry invited us all up to my grandparents old farm. He bought the house and farm from my grandparents when they got to old to take care of it anymore. He has done a great job of fixing it up and occasionally invites us all over for a BBQ. There is nothing better than his deep fried chicken breasts, dutch oven potatoes and fresh vegetables from the farm. My moms family is some of the best cooks in the world. He has tractors, 4-wheelers and lots of old barns for my boys to explore......it is definitely a little boy paradise! Thanks for having us!
Carter is in heaven whenever there is a sandbox and he loved that this old tire was filled with sand.My uncle Marv was so good with Myah, he even held her so I could eat my dinner with BOTH hands!
And this last picture is a random one but I thought I should write about our first born sometime. This is Scooby and he just turned 6 years old! He was just diagnosed with Lupus but shouldn't have too many problems other than we will have to give him steroids for the rest of his life. His nose and eyes had started looking really bad....all crusty but the medicine is already working and he seems to be feeling much better! We love you Scooby!

Looking Back at the 4th!

I never finished posting about the fourth of July so I have a little catch up to do and then a bunch more so I will be posting a lot just to get caught up. Blogging is my only way of keeping a journal these days....I am in a scrapbook club but I have a pile of over a year and a half worth of completed scrapbook pages with no pictures on them. Oh well, someday I will get caught up. In the mean time I will just keep blogging away, it is so much faster and cleaner and my boys can't really get into it! So back to my post, we spent the fourth of July with my family in the morning/afternoon. We go boating every year on the fourth. It is fun, but there always seems to be boat trouble and then there is Camden. Absolutely terrified of boats! I am not really sure why. The first two summers of his life I took him boating all of the time and then once he hit 3 he no longer wants anything to do with them. He even gets all worked up if he even sees a boat parked at my parents house. I am hoping it is a phase because it makes for a stressful "family fun" time. I forgot to take any pictures, but we had a fun time roasting hot dogs, eating fresh fruit and homemade caramel popcorn and just being together as a family. Carter had his first ride in the inner tube and loved it. He, unlike Camden is not afraid of boats or water so I have to keep a close eye on him. Myah slept most of the day. I was going to let her have her first ride on the boat, but the water was a little too choppy for her little head. Maybe next time! After boating we always go to Darin's mom's and have dinner and do fireworks. The boys have so much fun with their cousins. They are so out of control and I fear my in-laws think my boys are crazy, but I swear they are much better behaved when they aren't surrounded by so many BOYS! They love it! We had a great time being together. Other than Christmas, the 4th of July is my very favorite holiday. It doesn't get much better than that!

Bumbo!

So I had heard all this hype about a bumbo....for those of you who are not familiar it is a $40 piece of plastic molded into a chair for your baby to sit it. Everyone I knew said they loved theirs and I was tempted but not totally sold on the idea. Well as any parent of a newborn knows...hair starts to get rubbed off. With my boys it wasn't that big of a deal, Camden I was cutting short by 6 months and Carter had no hair in the first place. Myah however is my first little girl and the thought of her rubbing off her little locks made me sad. So to make a long story short I caved in and drove to Wal-Mart to buy one. I actually thought Wal-Mart had a cheaper version, but they have upgraded and now have the original bumbo. It sells for about $39.00. Well Myah LOVES it and it is so dang cute to see her sitting in it. The boys love looking at her in it and I think it really is making her neck muscles so much stronger. So I posted a picture of her in it and then gave her a personal interview so you could see for yourselves how happy and content she is in it (You will have to turn off the sound of my music to hear her response). So for all of you who gave me the idea Thank You.....Myah says thank you too!

And here are just a couple of pictures with Myah and her most adoring fans! Her brothers are definitely head over heels for her!

Happy 4th of July!

We had a fun time at the Park with my family watching fireworks! We attempted family pictures, but I've decided with three kids it is nearly impossible....we sure made a valiant effort though! My boys are in this big CHEESE stage, it really is pretty funny.....just not great for a "normal" picture! Trying to get everyone to look at the camera!

Camden only will pose if he can be silly!

Carter found the fruit bowl!!! He can never get enough!

Miss Myah!

Myah and aunt Ash.....I loved her little crooked grin!

Park City

Lesli's husband ran in the Wasatch Back a couple of weekends ago so they invited us to come up to Park City with them for the weekend. We had a lot of fun. We went swimming, spent the afternoon riding down the mtn. on the slide and coaster, did a little shopping at the outlet malls and watched ski jumpers at the Olympic Park. We ended the weekend spending some time at temple square. It was a really fun time and we all had a blast!

I stole these pictures from my sister's blog.....my boys had a ton of fun in the swimming pool! Thanks for the pics Les!

First we went on the Alpine slide which was fun......

But then to the Coaster which was CRAZY!!!!!!
The Boys were all smiles!!!

The Olympic Park was a lot of fun too and they were amazed with the ski jumpers, so was I!

Future US Bobsled team!

I think the SLC Temple is beautiful and there is such a neat feeling on temple Square we had a good afternoon. We had to make up for the fact we didn't make it to church. However with my kids I think we got a lot more out of our afternoon at Temple Square than we usually get trying to keep them quite and listening in Sacrament meeting! If you look closely in the picture above you can see Darin and Carter. It was a perfect shot with no one else around! I had to add this last picture of Darin and I because it was Camden's first official picture. I think he did pretty good! Darin and I were both impressed!!! It was a great weekend!! I hope to do it again soon!

Fun with cousins!

Darin and his mom and his siblings (minus Kathie) had a neat experience a couple weeks ago. Darin's dad was killed almost 25 years ago in a helicopter crash in the Bingham Copper Mine. Darin's brother arranged to have a personal tour of the mine with some men who were there at the time of the crash. It was an emotionally draining experience but I think one that they all appreciated and needed to see. Darin's mom is an amazing woman and finished raising 5 kids on her own. I can't imagine having to do that and having all my kids turn out to be such amazing people! You are one of a kind Jeanie! The picture below is at the mine, and if I understand correctly the crash was just behind them. I love you all, but I have to admit you all look a little silly with those hats on!!!

Afterwards we all got together for a little party. The boys had a lot of fun in the hats!
(Konnor, Carter, Dallin and Camden)

Myah and Saylor weren't really interested in getting their picture taken! It was a fun day!

The End of T-Ball!

T-ball was fun for the boys! A little boring to watch, not quite as entertaining as soccer but still fun! Their favorite part was the treats at the end of each game and the trophy at the end of the season! My favorite part was just how cute they looked in their little uniforms!

Swimming lessons

We took swimming lessons this year with a couple of our neighbor kids and Camden and Carter had a great time. I'm just sad it only lasts for a couple of weeks. I need more for my kids to do in the summer! Camden was soooooo much better this year....no tears....YEAH!!!!
He actually put his head in the water! Big improvement from last year!

Carter isn't afraid of the water and loved it!

Here is Camden and his little friend Kaden.

And here is Kyler, Carter and Kaden (Camden was cold and didn't want to get back in!)

The Fun of the Chase

How many are we entertaining out there?
