SLC trip

**** I'm finally caught up.  There are nine, YES nine posts below. Big sigh of releif aughhhhhhhh. :) Happy reading, if you can get through it all!!!

For Christmas Camden got two tickets to a Jazz game in SLC.  I decided that instead of staying home with the other three monkeys we should make a trip of it.  We went to temple square to see the lights on the warmest winter day in years.  I believe it was in the 50's that day.  It was perfect!  Afterwards we went to the hotel and ordered pizza from the Pie.  One of my favorite's from our time spent living down there. Then Darin and Camden went to the game and the rest of us went swimming at the hotel.  It was a lot of fun.  The next day we went swimming again and then drove home.  It was a fun little get away!

Isn't this stunning.  The sky that night made the temple look completely enchanting.  Almost like a painting...it didn't look real!

Dawson so badly just wanted to get down and run around.  Now you know why he isn't coming with us to Disneyland.  He would be miserable ....or lost.....not so great!
Swimming at the pool.  I am so glad my kids aren't scared of swimming anymore!
I sure love this little family of mine!

Birthday bowl

I had a great birthday.  Darin go up and took me and the kiddos to Kneaders for breakfast and afterwards we all went bowling.  I won. No better way to spend a birthday!

Darin had taken the day off of work (what a guy!). So when we got home, he let me take a long hot bath while I read (when was the last time I did that).  Then he told me to go shopping by myself the rest of the afternoon.  No car seats, strollers, whining kids etc.  Just me and my credit card...bliss!!!  That night we were able to go through the temple with Darin's nephew Kendall who just left to serve in the Columbia, South Carolina mission.  It was a great day!

Christmas day

He came!!!  Smiling kids all around!
Darin found this wig the night before in our nativity activity.  He loved it and sported it all day...well except for at church.  What a goofball!
It was a little rough getting to church by 9:00 on Christmas morning.  But we did it!  Here are our christmas duds.
Thank you Carter for your many wonderful faces you pull during family pictures!
I had to get this.  The kids were so excited to give me the present they picked out. They had me open it before any of their gifts!  Camden was especially proud.  It was a new toaster.  Ours had a short in the cord and every morning when I made toast I had to shake it reall good to get it to work.  This one will work and my kids were most excited that it had four slots.  Now all of them can get a piece of toast at the same time!!
And the biggest present of the day......
Yes, we are headed to Disneyland and my kids can hardly wait.  To be honest....neither can I!
The rest of the day was spent with Darin's mom and Dan, Allison, Dallin and Saylor.  We had a blast.  So much fun in fact that we didn't take a single picture!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve with the Parson Clan.
There were presents, yummy food, lots of cousins and a good time had by all.  Just see for yourself!

It was fun to watch Dawson this year.  He loved opening presents.  Well at least when his siblings gave him the chance to open one of his gifts he had a good time!
Yeah!  P.J's
Love that smile!
The girls are a little outnumbered 7:3.

My mom had a fun idea this year.  She got floating lanterns just like the ones in the movie tangled....who knew those were real!  Anyway we all went outside and let one off.  It was really amazing to watch.  And don't worry...they are biodegradable! The pictures turned out neat...kind of like this one that looks like Charley's head is on fire!
After a minute of letting the candles burn, they would just take off into the sky!  It was really cool.  I think a few passerby's were a little taken back.  We had a few cars stopped at the end of the driveway.  Hopefully Santa didn't run into any of the lanterns!
We also did the nativity this year.  It was cute and the kids had fun dressing up.  Darin only got video and since it takes a billion years to upload a video, I will spare you the Parson family version of the nativity.  We also did chimes this year thanks to Darin's mom for letting us borrow them.  It was fun to watch everyone anxiously wait for their turn ring their chime.  We made some pretty good music that night.  Afterwards we hurried home and put our four little sugar plums to bed.  They were so excited for Santa to come!

The Fun of the Chase

How many are we entertaining out there?
