The tulip festival

This winter has been a hard one for me. Months of sub-zero temperatures, fog, cooped up kids and two straight months of all day morning sickness had me in a slump. Luckily the nausea lifted, the skies have returned to blue and my most favorite flower in the world is starting to show itself...tulips. Last week Camden was out of school so I packed up the kids and headed down south to the tulip festival. It is breathtaking and such a great way to just make me smile! The kids had a fun day running around, enjoying the sun, getting along (that in and of itself is amazing) and I had fun looking at the flowers and drove my kids crazy with all of the pictures I took. Funny thing, we parked the car, packed the stroller and walked to the entrance and paid and started our journey through the gardens when I realized the camera had no battery. It was back in the car in the camera bag (I had left it in the car cause it is just too bulky). I was determined to take pictures so we trekked back to the car and got the battery and 300+ pictures later, these are just a few of my favorites. I try to limit them, but since this will be turned into a book as my journal.....these really are for me. But if you care to look.....I think they turned out pretty cute. But with all of those flowers and my three little tulips, really they can't turn out too bad! Enjoy!

Running down the hill...
He is my dramatic one. Apparently he was tired!

Rolling, it made me sick just watching!

The end! It was a beautiful day basking in the sun (as Camden put it!).

I was actually a little surprised because this pregnancy has been so different then my other boys and so much like Myah's. I am so thankful though that he is healthy and looking good....boy or girl that is all I really care about! It has been 5 years since a baby boy has come to our home, I am excited to do it all over again! I can't wait to meet him!

Easter in St. George

We spent Easter and part of spring break in St. George with my parents and my brothers family. It was such a nice get away and especially nice to miss the latest snow storm up north. We headed down after school on Fri. and our first morning there the Easter bunny arrived. He really outdid himself even though I thought I gave him the memo that treats were plenty! Camden loves treats. In fact, I think he had the majority of his Easter basket eaten by Sat. afternoon....we tried to stop him but he just had that sugar glazed look and kept on eating!

Myah had a rough trip down. She is not our best traveler. She finally crashed in the car at about 11:30 so by the time we got to the condo I was NOT going to wake her to get her ready for bed! So she looked pretty good by Sat. morning.
Easter egg hunt. We had a little easter egg hunt between conferences on Sun. Max and Gab hid the eggs for my kids and then Charley hid some for them when they were finished. The kids had a lot of fun!

Myah loved Holly on this trip. She followed her around everywhere she went! Even when she fell and bonked her head I was giving her loves and she just cried for Oh-wee. It really was pretty cute....I tried to not let it hurt my feelings :). She equally loved Gabrielle and was frequently asking where Gabby was. She sure loved all of the attention she got!

Myah's new favorite face to pull!
One afternoon when the bigger kids and Darin were having a mean game of basketball, I took Myah and Carter to the park to play and had fun playing with my camera. I finally figured out how to work it a little better and now I am not so frustrated with it. Little did I know that using the view finder instead of looking directly into the camera made such a HUGE difference in the focus of the picture. I thought view finders where fun to have....they aren't! Regardless I think I finally got some good pictures!

Our last full day there we had to hit the indoor pool at sand hollow. It is one of our favorites....I wish Logan would have been as smart and built their aquatic center indoors!
Before the jump....
after the jump! (I thought this picture was cool....nice work Dar!)
Myah LOVED the waterslide. I bet Darin took her on it a dozen times!

Happy kiddo's!

Now it is back to real life! I think my kids are going to have a hard time going back to school. They have had such a great spring break and loved no schedules. We already counted and only a little over 30 more school days....hooray! (for the kids....I'm not sure how mom feels about that!)

The Fun of the Chase

How many are we entertaining out there?
