Camden has started his first year of soccer! I am sure it is the first of many more years to come. And even though the excitement I feel at having to run my child to and from activities is bound to get old soon, it has just been so much fun to watch him getting all grown up on me. He started practices last week and after the first day he looked at me and said "Mom, soccer sure is a lot of hard work". But ever since then he has been so excited about it. He had his first game on Wed. and he was such a trooper. He was running all over the place and occasionally he would fall down and look over at me and just stand up and start running again. It is quite comical to watch 5 year olds playing soccer. They are just like a herd of sheep all following the ball wherever it went. They all did well, other than the fact they got beat by about 14 pts. But the fact that they had fun was all that mattered. We have another game tomorrow and he can hardly wait. Hopefully they will understand that they need to kick the ball INTO the goal....but even if they don't I just hope he has a good time!
And here he is with Carter and Kaden's brother Kyler and sister Kirsten. They all had a good time and it was like pulling teeth to get them in the car to come home. They wanted to play soccer all night!

We just started soccer again as well. Dalton and Holly are on a team together with most of the kids from our playgroup. It is fun to have other parents and kids there that we know. I believe Dalton is the oldest on the team and one of the only kids to have played soccer before. He is much more aggressive than the other kids. Holly is quite good at running along with the crowd and she does try to kick the ball any time it comes close. It is so fun to watch. I'm excited that you are joining the realm of the soccer moms!
Camden is the cutest little soccer player! Thanks for your post on my blog about the second child syndrome. It helps me to know I'm not alone. Thanks. I can't wait until Noah can do soccer. So fun!
