A few weeks ago I decided it was time to give Myah a new do...it turned out pretty cute, but it all of a sudden made my little baby look like a big girl!
Before.... After....
She was actually pretty good, letting her suck on a bottle of toothpaste does wonders!
Feb. 2011 Carter: Carter was having his one hundreth day of kindergarten. They were suppose to bring 100 things to contribute to a class "trail mix" treat. Carter kept telling me I needed to get the silver spinning thing out of the pantry. I didn't understand what he was talking about. Finally he took me to the pantry and pointed to the kitchen aid. He said "mom, my fishes need to fit in that!" Apparently the only thing he could visualize that a "trail mix" was, was the mixer in the pantry. He was adament his fishes would be able to fit in it. Needless to say we had a nice conversation on what a "trail mix" really was!
Sept. 2010 Carter: Carter has wanted to be several things for Halloween this year. However the other day we were driving in the car and he said "I declare, I want to be an Aggie football player for Halloween" Well if he declares...then it must be!:)
April 2010 Camden: We went to Thanksgiving point to the tulip festival. There was a lot of walking involved and all three of my kids wanted me to push them in the sit and stand stroller. I was getting tired and told Camden he needed to walk when he looked at me and said "Mom, did you know if you make kids walk to much, they will DIE."
Myah:Mom:"Myah say Carter." Myah: "Taco"Mom: "Say Camden." Myah: "Namnen"
Dec. 2009 Camden: Dad: "Thanks for being such a nice boy the past couple of days." Camden: "Your welcome." Dad: "Is it because you know santa claus is coming soon." Camden: "No, I'm just trying to be like Jesus."
Nov. 2009 Carter:I was attempting to get Myah a swine flu shot at the health department the other day. They had shots available for kids under three. Carter obviously was too old. On the way there he asked me where we were going. I told him and he responded with "You can't get Myah a shot. It will hurt her and she will cry." I told him that maybe they would let him get one first and he could show her how to be brave. He thought about it for a minute and said "I know, I will get the shot for her and then she won't have to cry. Promise me mom, that you won't make Myah get a shot. Just let me do it instead of her." What a sweet brother! They ended up being out of shots....so we went shopping instead!
Myah: Whenever she hears a dog bark, she gets a very excited look on her face and starts blowing as hard and as fast as she can.
Sept. 2009 Carter: We are driving in the car when carter pipes up with "That is a pretty big conveyer belt". Darin and I just looked at each other like "what", when we looked to the right and sure enough there was a large conveyor belt at a cement yard. We asked him how he knew what a conveyor belt was, and he said "I learned it on T.V."
Camden: Mom I think I sprankled my leg!
Carter: "Mom, do you know what a war is?" Mom: Yes I do. Carter: Um, no you don't, actually it is when a knight and a soldier fight."
July 2009 Camden: Of course not! (phrase used for everything!)
April 2009 Carter: As we are getting out of the car for gymnastics Carter says "Mom, did you know if something is heavy it is cumbersome....that spiderman toy on the ground isn't very cumbersome." As I looked at him dumbfounded I asked where in the world he learned that, he said matter of factly "Word Girl". I guess he is learning something on pbskids.org after all!
Jan. 2009 Carter: "Do you know what my favorite part of Kung Fu Panda is?"Mom: "What?"Carter: "When Shifu got dead."Mom: "You mean when he died?"Carter: "No, got dead!"Mom: "You don't say got dead, you say he died."Carter: "No he got dead. Dying is when you go to heaven."Mom: "And what does got dead mean?"Carter: " It means you just stick out your tongue."
Camden: This morning he had ran out the door to the bus when I realized we forgot to put on his gloves. I told him to hurry and come back. He asked me why, I told him so his hands wouldn't freeze and he just yelled..."Mom, I'm brave!" and on he went to the bus stop.
Carter: I hesitate posting this but it was hilarious! Carter got done doing his business and I came to help him clean up his job when he looked into the toilet and said, "Wow, that is a masterpiece." I'm still laughing!!!
Dec. 2008 Camden: He is just growing up too fast! He is learning a whole new vocabulary at school. The other day I took him shopping with me and there was a rack of shirts on clearance. I told him he could pick one out. All of a sudden I hear him get excited and said "Sweet....mom this shirt is so sweet!" And if that doesn't get you laughing, last night we worked on a project for school where he had to make a Christmas tree out of construction paper and decorate it. He worked pretty hard on it and was excited to take it to school. Today when I picked him up I asked him what his teacher thought and he said "She frieked mom!" I guess she liked it!
Nov. 2008 Carter: Tonight we had some of my family over for dessert. When I put Carter to bed he was almost asleep when he said "I wuv Charley" (my brother for those who don't know). "He likes to tease me though." Then I said "do you like it when he teases you?" Carter: "No, I don't wuv him when he teases me, but when he doesn't tease me, I wuv him."
Camden: We have had some trouble with the word "stupid" at our house, so I have been trying to convince the boys to say stupendous instead. Today Camden came home with a very proud look on his face and said "Mom, I told my teacher she was stupendous today." I asked him what she said in return, and he said "She thinks I am pretty stupendous too!"
Camden and Carter: Today at lunch I was in the other room and I overheard this conversation. Carter: "Camden, I wove you." Camden: " I wove you too."
Carter: Darin was being cute and made all of our beds one morning before work and left notes on our beds saying we had been hit by the bed bandit. Anyway Carter really took it pretty serious and that afternoon told Darin all about it. Darin asked him who he thought the bed bandit was and Carter just shrugged his shoulders and said "It's a mystery."
Camden: "Hey mom, what are doors made out of? What are clothes made out of? What are strawberries made out of? What are fridges made out of? What are shoes made out of?... Etc. etc. etc.
Oct. 2008 Carter: We are watching Ashley's dog while she is on her honeymoon. Carter LOVES him. I told him to get ready for bed and he just had a melt down, crying he said "BUT mom I have to play hide and seek with Bentley!"
Camden: After a rough morning of time outs and a lots of tears, Camden asked me if I was going to come and volunteer at his school. I told him I was surprised he would want me there because he had just got done telling me how mean I was and letting me know I was anything but his favorite person. He looked at me and said "Mom, you know I love you....I was just mad!"
Camden: On the way home from Ashley's wedding he looked at me and said "Mom, why did Ashley look so bootiful today?"
Sept 2008 Carter: Darin was putting him to bed and had just turned off the lights when he said "I can't see....but that's ok, my eyes will adjust."
Aug 2008 Camden: We were reading the story about the Jaredites in the Book of Mormon. Darin asked the boys if they knew what Heavenly Father gave them to see inside of their boat. Camden matter of factly stated "windows".
June 2008
Carter: After having Darin practice baseball with the boys, Carter came over and sat by me. I asked him if he was all done playing with his dad when he looked at me and said "Yeah, that was a pretty lousy pitch ya know."
Camden: We were leaving for Camden and Carter's first T-ball game when Camden said "Dad, I want you to be my coach". Darin: "Why" Camden: " Because you're a Dr., and you're cool, and you can do everyfing".
Carter: Feeling sick said "Mom there is a mean boy in my froat."
Carter: At swimming lessons he pointed over to a group of trees and said "Mom, that is were the bears live....it's the jungle ya know."
