WAC

In march we decided to take the kids to the WAC tournament in Las Vegas to watch the Aggies play.  Camden was begging and I really wanted some sun!  My parents and Ashley and Paul were going as well so we all headed down.  Our first real road trip with four kids!  I am happy to say we survived and  Dawson did wonderfully!  He was probably better than all the rest....that is what is great about not being able to talk....you can't whine either!  Anyway we broke the trip up a little bit.  Our first stop was in St. George for a couple of nights.  One night my mom watch Dawson for us and we went swimming.  We had a blast and it was nice to get in on some of the fun instead of just watching while I took care of a baby.  Myah looooooved the water slides and they all were having a good time swimming....not to much anxiety from the boys...yeah, finally!

I've decided I just have to love this goofy grin for awhile because that is all I can get out of him these days!

Just playing.....look at the monster coming upon his prey!
Do they look scared?  I was!
On fri. we headed to Vegas.  I was a little worried taking my boys there after our last trip, so I found a place four miles off of the strip with no casino.  It was wonderful.  The name of the resort was The Cancun and it was great.  The rooms had a kitchen, and family room and two bedrooms/baths.  It was perfect.  After a run to target we had enough food for the trip and I am happy to say the closest we got to the strip was the freeway.  There were a few sketchy places we had to drive by to get to the arena, but luckily the wii was hooked up in the car and I don't think the boys even looked out the window.  It really was great.  The weather was lovely, 75 degrees and we were all in heaven.  The hotel had a great pool with water slides which was so fun except Myah was to little to go on them (they wouldn't let her sit on Darin's lap) so we had to hear her complain for a while, but once she got in the pool she forgot all about the slides and just had a fun time splashing with dad.  I laid in the sun and enjoyed watching them play.  The water was a little to cold for Dawson (and me:).  We had a great time!

We are ready for the big game!  Go AGGIES!

If you have never been to an Aggie game, you are missing out.  The student section is crazy and the energy in the arena is un-matchable.  The tournament was no exception, other than the Spectrum is a little cozier so the noise is explosive.  The kids were pretty excited and Dawson usually slept, so we were all happy!

We won!  What better way to end a trip!
Ashley is going to beat me for this, but I loved it!
On Sunday we drove back to St. George for the night.  We went and walked around the temple.  The weather was gorgeous!  We had a fun day! Here are just a few pictures.  Camden was being a little sassy...didn't want to smile for the camera.

Those tattoo's were pretty good....I thought they would wash off in the tub, but it took a good scrubbing to finally get them off!

We had such a great weekend.  We couldn't have asked for better weather, better games or better company!  Until next year!

Little D

Well Dawson just keeps on growing.  These pictures are all from 5-7 months.  I have been a bad blogger, I know!  There is probably picture overload, but I just love this age and the faces that they pull.  I had a hard time deciding which ones to post, so I just posted a lot!  Dawson is just so much fun.  We are all pretty much head over heels for him.  He has grown up so much lately.  All characteristics of newborn are gone and he is growing like crazy. His six month stats were:
Weight: 16.2 Lbs.  27%
Height: 26.5 in. 53%
Head: 17 in. 50%
His cheeks absolutely kill me!  I love them and nibble on them constantly.  I can't believe my baby is already 7 months old.  Here are the promised pictures, he is about the cutest stink I've seen, but then again I am his mom....I should think that!

First food.  Rice cereal.  He did pretty good.  He now can down an entire bowl of veggies and oatmeal in about 4 min. flat.  He likes to eat....but not fruit. Weird?  Taking after his big sister I guess!

Couldn't you just eat him!

Well that dark curly hair started to fall out, just as I thought.  His hair pattern was identical to that of Myah's.  I tried to hang on to it as long as possible, but it started to look pretty funny so the day finally came for his first hair cut.
Before
 After....not sure what he's thinking....
 "I think I dig it!"
"Her on the other hand, I am not so sure about!"
"Well, I guess she's cool....I dig her too!"
All gelled up.  Look at those blonde locks.  Mom and dad don't get a brunette after all!
 Man I just love him!

and I am sure you can't resist either....try, I dare you!

Carter's birthday celebration

For some reason my kid's birthday's always seem to last for several days.  Well this year has proved to be the same for Carter.  His first big event, the Aggies.  My dad is good friends with the aggie basketball coach and his staff.  Since Carter seemed to be fascinated with the team this year (He even asked for a Tai Wesley cake....you'll find out later that luckily he changed his mind.) I thought it would be so much fun to meet the team.  My dad arranged to have both of the boys go to a practice and hang out with the team.  They were in heaven.  The guys on the team were so good to them.  They were so nice to shoot around with them, autograph some shirts and even gave Carter one of the basketballs they practice with.  Camden loved it every bit as much and told me it was the greatest day of his life:).  Anyway Darin went along and took pictures.  He didn't realize our camera was on manual focus and couldn't figure out why all of the pictures came out blurry.  So sadly all of the pictures turned out this way.  Oh well.  I tried editing the saturation but it didn't really work so here are a few from their afternoon unedited.

and with the team!

Then the Saturday before his birthday we went to Frederico's to celebrate his birthday with all of the family. Nana and Papa and Oma were not going to be around on the real day so we celebrated a little early.  Carter didn't mind getting to celebrate the big number six twice!

Nana, papa, Oma, grandma Helen (Jeanie's sister), Ash, Paul, Parson, Charley, Max and Gab were all there.  Thanks for coming!

On his real birthday we had our own family celebration. We had presents, cake and even went ice skating.  What a lucky little boy!

He decided on a wild animal cake.  He is loving the show Wild Kratts on PBS.  Thank you Macey's for delivering!
Our first family ice skating trip.

Even Dawson got to come in his stroller!

Cute bums!

We had a fun night!  Thank you Carter for being such a fun little boy!  Happy birthday!

first ski trip!

The boys finally went skiing!  Darin took President's day off this year and took the boys on their first ski trip.  They were pretty excited.  He took them to Wolf Mountain up Ogden canyon.  He had heard it was a good place for beginner's.  They took lesson's for a while and then they were ready to cruise the mountain side.  They all had a blast.  I would have loved to go to, but Dawson seems to have a pretty mean case of separation anxiety these days and I couldn't stand the thought of him crying for my mom the entire day!  Maybe next year we can put him in the pack and teach Myah to ski...it would be a fun family affair!

Pre-departure!

Learning the ropes!

Getting some grub!
Having fun with dad!

What a fun day!

basketball

Camden played basketball this winter and loved it!  It is his new favorite. The first part of the winter he played jr. mustang ball and then played jr. jazz for the second half.  Both teams had several other boys from the neighborhood.  It was a lot of fun!  Darin coached jr. mustang ball and Camden loved having him as his coach.  With Darin's job it is hard for him to be the coach of many sports, but with games only on Sat. this one worked out perfect.  I think if Camden could choose, he would play basketball all year long!  Until next year!
Kaden and Camden

The kids had fun to.  I usually could get a smile from Myah, but Carter usually took off with his friends the second we got there.  I can't believe he will be old enough to play next year!

 Camden with his favorite coach!

 Jr. Jazz team!

I just loved this one of Myah and her daddy!

The Fun of the Chase

How many are we entertaining out there?
