Feeling fully cooked!

10 years ago today, Darin took me to our little spot, pretended that he was going to break up with me and then got a smug look on his face and asked me to be his wife. Over the laughter, I happily said YES!
Fast forward 10 years to the same day and I gladly get to say....I'm DONE!!!!
Not to being married to Darin....that would be silly....but to looking like this!
(tried to find my skinniest pose...gave up and thought what the heck, I might as well remember what I looked like from all angles!)
We are on our way to the hospital to meet this new little man. I was hoping he would appear on his own, but 39 weeks is all I am willing to give him! Check back again in a couple days to meet the newest Chase member! (and about 10 new posts I tried to finish yesterday...I'm nesting what can I say....just didn't quite finish all I wanted to!) Wish us luck and keep this over worried mother in your prayers! :)

Camden's first day of school.

I can't believe Camden is already in 2nd grade! Where did my baby go? He is quite the handsome little fellow. He was a little nervous to be starting a new school this year. Luckily he has a neighborhood full of friends starting with him. We are hoping for a great year!

Here comes the bus! One good thing about the new school, is that we are further away than last year. That means a free bus!!! Last year I paid for him to ride in the morning and had a car pool in the afternoon. With a new baby this year, I am super happy that we have busing to and from school...for free!
See you later!

Family reunion

We had our annual Chatterton family reunion. It was fun as always seeing family, eating yummy food and playing outside. I only got pictures of the fun on the slip'n slide. It is always fun playing with cousin's!

Funny girl....and boys!

Myah's favorite way to get us laughing! What a funny little girl!
The boys are quite entertaining as well!

Boating fun!

This year was monumental for our family....Camden actually went boating! He has been sooooo fearful for the past three summer's so the following picture is really quite amazing....I think that might even be a smile on his face! Carter got a pretty big kick out of it as well!
Myah on the other hand...I think she is taking after Camden. Boating was definitely not on her favorite things to do list. We got her in the tube a few times, but the boat was nothing but tears. She especially hated it when her dad went skiing. She I think was sure he was going to DIE!

I only got a couple trips in the boat. The last I thought might put me right into labor with all of the choppy water....maybe I SHOULD have gone boating more...at least at the end :)!

Summer vacation...St. George

Being pregnant in the summer definitely had it's pro's and con's. It is much easier to go places with a baby inside of you than outside, unfortunately it also makes you much more tired as well. I didn't have a family trip planned for this summer and time was running out. Since my parents have a condo in St. George, it seemed like an easy, fun and inexpensive family vacation. St. George does have a few flaws however....it is called July, and that is when we chose to go. It was a whopping 112 the entire time we were there. If we were lucky it dropped to 1o3 by 11:00 p.m. Being 8 months pregnant only made it worse I am sure, but I think all of us were pretty toasty. Good thing for us there was a pool. That is where you found us all day, every day while we were there. Swimming is actually a great thing when your pregnant....once you are in the pool you don't even feel pregnant....it is great, until you see your reflection and then you want to pretend you didn't see it or just hurry and get back in the pool so at least you didn't feel pregnant once again. The kids had a great time. All three of them turned into little fish. And once they got over the fear of the diving board, that is all they wanted to do. Especially Carter. He loved it! So all in all our little family vacation was a success. Other than the long car ride and the air conditioning fiasco (our ac broke in the van...not so great in 112 degree weather...not to worry, $700 fixed it fabulously) our trip was a success. Nothing like lazy summer days spent with the ones you love! Here are just some of my favorite pictures. Notice they are all swimming....seriously it was way to hot to do ANYthing else!

New sand...

We got new sand for the sandbox. Carter was mesmerized watching the tractor put the sand in the truck.....

...Myah didn't seem to think it was nearly as cool. In fact she was down right upset about it!

Camden playin baseball!

Camden was able to play coach pitch this year. He had a lot of fun. His favorite position was catcher just like his dad. I don't know how I managed to not get a picture of him in his cute little catcher outfit, but it cracked me up. He looked so old. We had a fun time watching him play...and he loved making his dad proud (his mom too...but he likes to bond with his dad over baseball :)

golf lessons

The boys went to golf clinic again this year. It was Carter's first time and Camden was excited to do it again after we took a summer off. They had a great time. Watch out Tiger....or maybe we should forget Tiger and go with Phil...he's a better role model anyway.

I thought this picture was pretty funny. The little boy looks ready to fight, but really they were just talking about whatever!

What can I say....I think I have pretty handsome little golfing dudes!

past to present...

Valerie this is for you! Wasn't it just yesterday we looked like this and spent all day playing in your backyard, making rediculous tape commercials, drawing pictures on each others back and watching episodes of Punky Brewster...... fast forward 20 years...

We've multiplied and replenished, but I love you just the same! It was great seeing you, if only we could live by each other again!

Swimming lessons

This year we decided to try private swimming lessons. I have two little boys a little nervous around water...the oldest being terrified actually. After three years of group lessons we thought we would give it a try. It was heaven sent. They both were swimming by the end of the summer. Carter turned into a little fish and while Camden doesn't find swimming to be his favorite sport by any means, the fact he put his face in the water and could kick across the pool made me one proud mama. We just took them once a week all summer long and in the end I think it really paid off!

Myah had fun watching. At the beginning of the summer we would go swimming together after lessons. By the end of the summer I was just to tired to get us all swimming and she was a pretty good sport...other than she usually de-clothed once each lesson telling me she was ready to go swimming. She LOVES the water!

The Fun of the Chase

How many are we entertaining out there?
