Trout and Berry Days

One of the little towns by us has a celebration called "Trout and Berry Days".  We have never been before. We have heard it is a lot of fun to let your kids catch their own fish with their bare hands.  Darin decided to take the kids along with some neighbors (Dawson was sleeping so I missed out on the fun!)

I love Myah's face.  She is trying to get excited, but her face says gross!

 Carter getting ready to go!

 Nice work!

Camden was a little hesitant to jump in a dirty pool with all of those kids and fish.....he is our clean one:)

His face seems even worse than Myah's....haha!!!

 How cute is that!

Here is the gang.  Camden, Nora, Myah, Macee, Carter and Lewis.

Dawson's birthday bash.

Well here it is finally....a month and a half later.  I even actually edited them.  Something I rarely do anymore just because of time.  Anyway, we had a fun sock monkey themed party this year.  It was fun and we just couldn't love our little monkey more than we do.  Happy, Happy Birthday to my favorite little one year old!

Not a fan of the birthday hat!
Thanks to everyone who came!  Macey's scored big time in my book on making me the cake I tried to describe.  Everyone loved it...even scooby!  That's what you get for having the eating of the birthday cake outside!  It made for a cute photo prop anyway!

Dawson is such a fun little guy to have around.  Here are just a few things we love about him right now.
-He loves to give us the cutest little squinty smile
-He dances when you put on music
-He love his mama!  I little more than I would like some days.  He usually screams in terror when anyone else tries to look at him.  He is a very happy baby for me though!
-He started walking at 11 months!  He is very busy!!!!
-He has already fallen down the entire flight of stairs.  He cried for a minute and then tried to venture up them again.
-About the only word he says is Mom
-He loves to play with his big brothers and sister
-He eats anything I put on his plate!
-He has already had 3 haircuts!
-He loves playing outside....especially in the sand box.
-He loves scooby's dog food...I don't love that!
-He takes 2 three hour naps :)
-He usually sleeps 11-12 hours at night
-He has 8 pearly whites
-He has a very funny giggle
-He loves to clap for himself
-He loves to empty any cupboard or drawer he can get his hands on
-He loves to give us open mouthed kisses!
We just love him to bits!

First day of school

It's official....I have a third grader and a first grader!
Where has the time gone for these silly boys to get so old!
Camden came home his first day and said he had just had the best day of his life!  I guess he likes it, or else I was just really boring all summer!
Apparently I didn't get a picture of Carter with his eyes open, but he is loving first grade now that he has adjusted to being gone all day long.  I miss having him home for half of the day!
And this little lady has reign of the house and all of the food for six hours a day!  I think she is happy about that!  And luckily she adores playing with Dawson and all her neighbor friends so she doesn't seem to get to lonely with her big brothers away!
Don't miss the next 7 posts I just uploaded....I have been so behind.  Stay tuned for Myah going to preschool and Dawson's one year bash!

Bear Lake

This year for my parents anniversary, they decided to rent out a cabin for the weekend up in Bear Lake.  We had a lot of fun all hanging out together.  The weather was beautiful except for the most incredible lightning show I have ever seen sat. morning.  It was so loud I could hardly sleep and one had to have hit right outside our door...the whole house shook!  But the rain clouds moved out quickly and we had some beautiful sunny days!
These next few pictures were from Bloomington lake.  If you have never been there, I suggest you go.  It is about an hour drive from bear lake...mostly because it is slow driving.  It isn't that far, but it is one of the most beautiful places I've seen!  And the brave (not me) loved the rope swing.  However, do you see that glacier....it made for some freezing water!
Darin flying into the ice water and loving every minute of it!
There isn't a lot of room for babies to roam around...Dawson was fighting to get down and crawl around the whole time!
Brandon's turn!

I finally gave in:)

After Bloomington Lake, we stopped at Minetonka cave.  It was fun, but a little long to keep a almost 1 year old entertained in the sling.  I was a little fearful of dropping him in the cave, but the rest of the kiddos had a good time.  It was cold, but really neat to see!

The next day was spent at the beach.  My parents couldn't get the lights on the boat trailer to work so we ended up without a boat, but we did rent some wave runners and thanks to my friend Carrie, we were able to spend the day at Ideal Beach.  The pool and grass are perfect, and I couldn't believe how high the water is this year....unbelievable if you have seen it the past ten years.  All of those weeds you use to have to walk through to get to water are now completely covered and the water actually comes up to the sand! We had a really fun, sandy day!

Baby Parson looking so grown up!

The Fun of the Chase

How many are we entertaining out there?
