Where has it gone?!?!

Baby Female pattern baldness? So all I know is that Myah was born a dashing brunette, tried out being a red head for a while and has decided to loose 90% of her hair and join the ranks of being a blonde (at least that is what the new peach fuzz appears to be) with her brothers. Maybe it is just preparing me for the teenage years when she wants to try out new do's. Anyway I am missing her locks and hoping for a quick return!

(she is pulling some pretty good faces these days!)

And she keeps growing!

So every month I can't believe that Myah is another month older! The time just seems to fly! Life with three kids is definitely a challenge, I still haven't quite figured out how to get everything done the way I should, but we all seem to survive so I will have to call it good. Someday I will get my act together. Myah keeps growing (why do they have to do that?) She just had her 6 month checkup and she weighed in at 15 lbs. (30th%) and was 25 1/4 inches (50%). So I guess she is pretty average although she has lots of cute baby rolls and chubby little cheeks I can't seem to kiss enough! I started her on cereal this month and we are about to try some veggies-I just really hate having to worry about meal times. It is so much easier just to nurse! She likes eating, but I think she ends up wearing more than makes it to her tummy! She is laughing, sometimes uncontrollably...so funny! And last but not least she is sitting on her own! I love when they can sit, they just seem so much more content. The doctor told me to encourage mobility, but I think sitting is plenty for now. I think life with 3 kids will be a whole new ball game once she can get out of my reach.....SCARY! I am not ready for that. Six months is a lot of fun! If only she could stay this size forever!

Carter starts school!

So school started and I feel as though my life has gone into overdrive. I was looking forward to a few hours a day of peace to get things done and it seems I have just become ever busier! To plan my day around pick up and drop off and making sure Myah gets a few Zzzz's I am pretty busy getting everything I need to done! Blogging has taken a back seat..... I will try and do better, but in the mean time I have got to get my life more organized! I can hardly believe this month is almost over! Where does the time go! Anyway here are a few pictures of Carter on his first day of school!
Nothing like a good morning bike ride to settle your nerves! Carter loves his bike!

"Ok Carter...say cheese!"

"Ok, this time don't squint so much and smile a real smile!"

"Good enough!"

This is right before he walked in. He told me he was going to be so brave! When we went inside he got a little nervous and needed me to stay for a few minutes. Finally I said "Give me a hug...I have to go!" He looked up at me and hugged me tight and gave me a kiss and became a very brave little boy! I seriously can hardly believe he is already so big. Time goes by way to fast! I wish I could just bottle them up and keep them little forever! However that being said, Carter is a cute little stink, but boy is he going through the terrible 3's. Yes 3's not 2's. He was actually a pretty easy going 2 year old. 3 has brought an entirely new twist on things! It's a good thing I love him so much or I just might have to send him away to toddler boot camp! Oh the joys of motherhood! No one ever told me how tough it would be, but at the same time no one described how much I would love it anyway!

The Five

I've been Tagged by Jessica,

(I've been tagged a few times in the past and was bad and never did them, so I decided I would do it this time.)

1. I just said my sad good-byes to Darin while he ventured off on his mission----who knew I would still be just as crazy about him when he got home!

2. I was living on the beaches of Hawaii going to school at BYU-H. My life was school, going to the beach and going to the beach some more (miraculously I found time to study!)

3. I loved working out at 5:00 p.m.----oh if only I had the time for that still!

4. I learned to drive a stick in my trusty Mazda hatchback that Jamie and I bought together for $400. North Shore cruisers were the best. On rainy days water sprayed in the car threw the rust holes!

5. Loved hanging out with my ninja house girls----I think none of you have a blog so you won't get to share in the memory---those were definitely the days!

5 things on my to-do list today

1. Laundry (I swear it is never ending!)

2. Dishes (Anybody out there get a pile in the sink because your dishwasher is clean, then once you get it emptied have enough dishes ready to be put in for another load...it is a vicious cycle at my house!)

3. Think of something to make for dinner

4. Take my boys outside to ride bikes---it's kind of yucky out today!

5. Be more patient----that is an ongoing chore!

5 snacks I enjoy

1. Chips and Salsa

2. Chocolate...any kind usually will do.

3. Strawberries dipped in #2

4. a good smoothie, Caribbean Passion from Jamba is my favorite

5. Vegetables and dip

5 things I would do if I were a millionaire

1. Have a second home in Switzerland (it is heaven there) with a private jet that could take me any time. ( so that is my selfish dream)

2. Make sure my family would be taken care of (ie. school, missions, retirement etc.)

3. Redecorate my house

4. Get a new wardrobe

5. Share with those around me in need.

5 places I have lived

1. Cove

2. Smithfield

3. Laie, HI

4. Jerusalem

5. North Salt Lake

(6. Where I live now......well if I told you I might have to kill you! I can't let you strangers out there know everything about me!)

5 Jobs I have had

1. Logan Golf and Coutry club.

2. Fun Park

3. The Silver Shoppe

4. North Cache 8-9 center FACS teacher

5. The hardest most challenging of all....MOM (the pay stinks, but the rewards are priceless)

Labor day weekend

We had a little get together with Darin's side of the family over Labor Day weekend. My sister-in-law Rachelle's parents have a nice big house with a pool out back that she invited us to come use. It was great. There was even a little mini playground for the kids to play on. We had a fun time and as always the boys loved playing with their cousins! Myah was a trooper as well and napped well for me. I got the camera out while she was sleeping so I didn't get any pictures of her. Thanks to everyone for the great food and good company. Here are just a few pictures of everyone. I need to be better at getting pictures of everyone at these get-together's, but I usually just get some of the kids.

Miss KassidiePoor uncle Dan, Darin's brother broke his leg a couple of weeks ago playing softball. He had to have pins put in his leg. He had to sit there all day with his leg elevated. I felt bad for him. But at least he could hold Saylor while she was sleeping! I feel just about as bad for his wife, know she has two kids AND a husband to care for. We hope you feel better soon Dan!
This is simply amazing. Camden was daring enough to jump off the diving board. He is slowly coming out of his water phobia. Darin however had to catch him quickly enough that his head didn't go under the water.

These little boys have so much fun together. It is crazy that they were all born withing 3 months of each other, and that isn't counting their little cousin Kylie....there had to be one girl to keep these boys in line! (Konnor, Camden and Dallin)

5 months and growing!

This month Myah can be found smiling, giggling, rolling from front to back, talking gibberish, trying out cereal (ok so only once, isn't feeding solids such a pain!), playing with toys and just being the cutest little stink that her family has ever seen!

My boy is growing up!

Fall Soccer:
Soccer started last week. Camden was really excited. He didn't have any friends on his team this time which he was a little bummed about, but he was excited anyway. It is fun to watch him play! He is getting too big!
KiNdErGaRtEn
I can't believe I have a school aged child! Where have the years gone! Camden started school last week. He was sooooo ready. They had kindergarten assessment so he started a week after everyone else. And even once he started he went one day and then not the next and then a short day the next and then a 3 day weekend so it will really officially begin tomorrow. He likes it though. I took him on the first day.....he was pretty mad at me for not letting him ride the bus. Seriously he could be a little traumatized that he is leaving me to go into the big bad world, but no....just excited!

He is such a goof!

Walking in the school for the first time. He was pretty excited about the rolling back pack. Don't you love the way Carter is just leading the way thinking he is so big!

Yeah he survived! I am pretty sure that he liked it, but all he really said when I asked him how his day went was "Good". When I asked what he learned he said "I don't really remember". He is such a boy and takes after his dad in the detail department!

On Friday I let him ride the bus. He was so excited he could hardly stand it. I think we were outside ready to go 20 min. early. I was a little nervous about sending him and was going to go to the school to make sure he got there ok, but a neighbor offered so I just hugged him and kissed him good-bye and watched my little 5 year old grow up!

Camden you are such a great kid. Full of spunk, big brother bossiness, love and laughter. I am so proud of you! (I sure love this little kid!)

Family Reunion

CrAzY FuN!

My mom's family has a reunion every summer and this year one of the activities was this water slide attatched to a hill. Hearing about it didn't give it justice. It was fun, very steep (took your breath away) and Everyone (kids and adults) LOVED IT. The pictures are fun....but you would have to see it in person to get the real deal! Me and Carter---I was trying to be brave...but I have to be honest, I was a little worried for our lives! My heels were sore by the end from trying to dig them into the ground to slow us down!

Max

Gab

Camden---this kid was in heaven. He ran up the stairs and down that slide for 4 hours straight!

Darin and Carter. You might want to click on this one and see their faces! Poor Darin tried going down backwards with Camden on his back. Somehow he flew off the slide into the bushes. He had a nice case of roadrash!

Camden climbing up the hill!

This picture kind of gives you an idea of how steep it was.

I love Carter's hair in this picture. He was going so fast it made his hair stick up straight.

Holly and Gab

Gab....check out her face!

Here is a clip.... Sorry you will have to turn your head sideways to view this. I taped it with my camera and didn't realize I wouldn't be able to turn it later. We had a fun day!

And that's a wrap.....

Wow!! Has summer actually come to an end! Where does the time go? It seems just like yesterday we were planning memorial day and now labor day is fast approaching. I love summer and it's late warm evenings, family get together's, smore's, swimming, flowers and the ability to be as lazy as we would like. That being said, it really is TIME for school to start. My boys love to play but have become even better at fighting! I think a few hours away from each other during the day will be good! I guess kids need a little structure after a long fun summer. So as much as I hate to see the summer end and dread the inevitable winter, I am excited for Camden to start kindergarten (ahhhhhhhh were did my baby go?) and for Carter to start preschool (even bigger ahhhhhhhhh, I really can't believe he is 3 1/2!!!) I haven't been great at keeping all of our summer posted so here comes a mega post with all the happenings...or at least the ones I took pictures of....of the end of our summer. We have had ooodles of fun!

BEAR LAKE WITH THE FAM: On the 24th of July we went up to Bear Lake with my family. We spent the day at Rendezvous beach. We hadn't been to Bear Lake since I was pregnant with Carter so it had been a LONG time. We had such a good time. We rented wave runners which is always fun. My parents don't love pulling the boat through the canyon, and it really isn't that fun to ski on Bear Lake anyway...kind of choppy...but that is what makes the sea-doo's fun. We had a good time. Camden for those of you don't know, is terrified of boats. He cried the entire way there because he thought for sure the boat would be there. Anyway the following picture is quite amazing. I never thought in a million years he would go for a ride. But now he says he isn't afraid of "water 4-wheelers" only boats! He didn't want to ride it for long, but just the fact that he got on with a smile is pretty impressive!

Myah was pretty good to just chill out under the canopy. She is such a trooper and usually goes wherever we take her without a lot of fuss!

My darling niece Clara.
We are pretty HOT....don't you think!
SWIMMING!
Last year I was so good at taking my boys to the pool. We went every week (until I got pregnant and didn't want to do much of anything....luckily that wasn't until the end of the summer! This year however, I just am not quite as daring with 3 children. I am a little worried about taking care of a baby and keeping my eye on two little boys by myself and the pool is always sooooo crowded. Anyway we did plan a trip on a day that Darin got off of work a little early and we had a fun time! Everything is always more fun when dad can come anyway!

Once again Myah was quite portable. I feel bad I don't have a picture of her awake sitting in the pool. She was pretty indifferent about it, but she sure looked cute in her swimsuit!

Oh me oh MYAH!!!
Seriously she has a perma-grin! My boys were pretty good smilers, but this girl is ALWAYS smiling. Unless she is crying (which she doesn't do a lot, but is VERY dramatic when she does) she usually has a smile on her face! I just can't seem to get enough of her! She is just a ball of happiness!

She is getting big toooo fast!
SUMMER:
I took a few pictures of our yard and I had to just post one of our roses. I hate to see summer end....I LOVE flowers!

Bear Lake with Friends:
A couple of weekends ago some of our friends invited us to come up and stay at their cabin in Bear Lake. We had sooooo much fun! The boys had more fun than they knew what to do with! There were plenty of kids to play with, lots of yummy food....We had a really good time! Unfortunately we were having such a good time that I forgot to get my camera out until we were getting ready to go. So sorry in advance Maria for posting you in your p.j.'s (but I don't think you even know I have a blog so hopefully you will never find out!), but I had to have evidence of the trip.....Thanks again!

Camden, Carter, Tanner and Emily: All together there were about 12 kids while we were there and they didn't stop playing.....not until about midnight when they finally crashed! They had fun watching movies on the wall, playing games and you can't forget the kid favorite "treat table" with endless amounts of junk food to keep them wired all night! It really was kid heaven!
There were plenty of babies as well. This is little Madison... and I swear she went to sleep wherever they put her! She was so good, I don't ever remember hearing her cry. I guess when you are #6 in your family you have to be pretty laid back. Her and Myah are only 6 days apart and I am sure will be great friends some day!

Just showing off Myah's new favorite pass time....she loves standing and can bare all of her weight.... she just needs help staying balanced. (Thanks for holding her while we got packed up Amy.....sorry for the p.j. shot as well!)
And our gracious host Maria. Thanks for all of your hospitality! We had a lot of fun even if Darin had to get a dead mouse out of the drier! He really didn't mind!

The cabin which was more like an incredible log home, had an amazing view of the lake! It was so pretty! It was a great little get away!

BOYS and BAGS!
So every once in a while I ask for paper bags at the grocery store. I know I should do it more often because they are more earth friendly, but I like having a stash of plastic bags in my pantry. Well anytime Darin sees a paper bag this is the result. The boys think it is hilarious....and so does their dad!

BORED!
So maybe there is to much time in the summer. The boys were having a boring day. I was trying to get the house clean and they needed some attention and were asking for it in all of the wrong ways. I was at the end of my rope and ready to send them to time out for throwing markers all over the floor after I had asked them to clean up and instead told them to sit down and I got all of my frustrations out in a very...different...way. They thought it was great and I ended up with a smile on my face as well!

GRADY
And last but not least August brought a new little bundle of joy to our family. Grady was born to my little sis Lesli and her husband on the 10th weighing in at 8lbs. 12 oz. and was 20.5 inches long. He is a doll and we are so happy to have him in our family! Welcome to the world Grady!
Well that sums it up. I have a few more summer things to post, but school starts this week and life is going to get crazy again! This summer has been wonderful and I really hate to see it end....but I guess if we didn't have winter, than summer wouldn't be so great! Crunchy leaves, school supplies, cool nights, hot cocoa and trick or treating all await us. I guess Fall is pretty fun too!

The Fun of the Chase

How many are we entertaining out there?
